Well Team Orchard has had a fantastic weekend – Steve, Lois, Harriet and Chris were in Bristol for the CIPR PRide Awards for the South and Channel Islands region where Orchard won two gold awards!
The awards recognise PR excellence in the South West, Home Counties, South, Channel Islands and Wessex regions. This year Orchard was awarded Outstanding Public Relations Consultancy by the distinguished panel of judges!
We also picked up the award for Outstanding Mid-Sized Public Relations Consultancy.
Two awards on the night was a pretty good return – even if Steve couldn’t hold them the right way up!
The judges praised us for showing an outstanding commitment to developing staff and delivering excellent, results-based campaigns for our clients. They were particularly impressed by our commitment to CPD, mentoring and qualifications, and the creation of an apprenticeship.
President of the CIPR, Sarah Pinch, said: “The Chartered Institute of Public Relations PRide Awards are a fantastic showcase of excellence in public relations across the UK’s regions and the Channel Islands.
“I am delighted to be able to congratulate Steve and the whole Orchard team for winning these two awards. The judges praised the Orchard team for their commitment to employee development and for leading the way on professional standards and qualifications; both subjects of great importance to the CIPR, the PR industry and Orchard’s clients.”
One award we did miss out on was the prize for tallest man in the room. We’re still not sure how that one got away. Here’s Steve clearly demonstrating that other PR professionals need some help to measure up.
