Steve has spent almost four decades in media circles, the last 27 years working in PR. A former award-winning journalist, he leads Orchard PR’s consultancy team and specialises in issues management and in providing public relations advice to clients in the financial services and professional services sectors. Steve is a Chartered PR practitioner, a former executive board and council member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, a member of the Guernsey IOD committee, a commissioner of the Guernsey Language Commission and a director of Elizabeth College, Guernsey.

Emma Anderson MCIPR
Senior Consultant and Communications Trainer
One of Orchard’s senior public relations consultants, Emma worked as a journalist in the UK and Australia for nearly 20 years taking in Fleet Street, independent radio and international television news. Emma specialises in professional services communication and also works with Orchard to advise and train Guernsey and Jersey organisations on effective communication skills including media encounters. Good presentation is a vital part of Emma’s media strategy, which goes some way to explain her collection of 65 (and counting) pairs of killer heels.

Diana Stenner MCIPR
Di is one of Orchard’s senior public relations consultants. A member of the CIPR she gained the majority of her PR experience in the City working for a multinational FTSE 100 company. A local Guernsey girl (with Jersey blood) she returned to the Channel Islands some 17 years ago with her family and has advised PR clients in a diverse range of business sectors. Once given the nickname ‘Sporty Orchard’ by a client, Di manages to juggle her PR career around her other passions; golf, open water swimming and cycling.

Brooke Kenyon MCIPR
Brooke has a degree in public relations and is an experienced communications professional. Having spent time in London and Guernsey she has experience across a range of consumer lifestyle brands. Brooke manages Orchard’s most diverse portfolio of public relations clients spanning the finance, beauty and retail sectors. Brooke is a self-confessed magazine addict and a keen runner.

Chris Chilton Chart.PR MCIPR
Chris is an experienced communications professional specialising in online and social media. Before joining Orchard he was based in London where he worked in the media, public sector and finance industry. Chris is a Chartered PR Practitioner and has completed the CIPR post-graduate diploma in public relations. He has also studied for a degree in English literature and a masters degree in film studies with the University of Southampton. Chris is a keen sailor and when he is not in the Orchard office you will usually find him out on the water or down at local charity the Guernsey Sailing Trust where he sits on the board of directors.

Harriet Black MCIPR
Harriet started her career at Orchard as an account executive and is now a member of the account director team. She has a degree in media and public relations and has completed the CIPR diploma in public relations. She manages a diverse portfolio of clients across the Crown Dependencies and is often in the Isle of Man visiting clients. Harriet is a CIPR Accredited Practitioner and is a member of the CIPR Channel Islands’ Committee. She was named in PR Week’s Top 30 under 30 list for 2015 and was also shortlisted for Outstanding Young Communicator in the 2014 South of England and Channel Islands Pride Awards. Harriet is a notorious trashy TV fan and is a passionate supporter of the Welsh rugby team.

Dan Gallienne MCIPR
With a keen eye for grammatical accuracy and a passion for puns fostered by five years studying literature at the Universities of Nottingham, Illinois and Leeds, Dan is one of the keener writers in the Orchard team. With clients across financial services as well as the telecoms and property sectors he regularly gets to put his writing skills to good use. When he’s not coming up with puns he can be found out running or knee-deep in mud at a music festival.

Ellen graduated in 2015 from Royal Holloway, University of London with a degree in Drama and Theatre Studies where she was involved heavily in her university’s drama and dance societies. She recently returned from working as a camp counsellor in America where she spent four months on a lake in Maine teaching girls how to sail as well as being a mentor to girls in the camp. Ellen loves to travel so she used this opportunity to go road tripping down the USA’s east coast.

Chloe Chescoe FCert PRCA
Chloe joined Orchard after studying Media, Business and Film at The Guernsey Grammar School and Sixth Form Centre. She has recently completed her PRCA Foundation Certificate after two years as our office assistant and junior account executive. During this time Chloe helped co-ordinate media clippings for Orchard’s clients and assisted with event preparation as well as working on a small number of client accounts. Alongside her work this year she will be studying towards the CIPR Advanced Certificate. In her spare time she works on her own video and film projects.

Leanne Oliver Dip. E.Man
Leanne joined Orchard with an event management background. In 2015 she completed the Fitzwilliam Institute Group Diploma for Event Management and she has previously worked for a local event company managing weddings in Castle Cornet and private garden parties. Leanne is also experienced in client relations and customer service following her time in the sales and marketing team of a major hotel group. When not at Orchard she can be found creating wedding and event stationery or out exploring L’ancresse Common with her two dogs.

Rebecca has joined Orchard as part of her placement year during her undergraduate studies at Leeds Beckett University, where she’s completed two years of a degree in PR with Journalism. She has previously managed a candidate’s Student Union Presidential Campaign and has reviewed events held in Leeds for an independent company. She prides herself on being politically aware and is an avid, and active, feminist. Outside of work Rebecca enjoys binge watching Game of Thrones, pulling pints and playing basketball.

Megan graduated from The University of Winchester with a first class degree in Media Production and first joined Orchard as an intern on a Creative Industries Guernsey placement scheme. Now a permanent employee her film making skills are being used to broaden Orchard’s creative range. At university she was actively involved in organising an annual film awards event and on the weekends Megan enjoys watching movies and taking her little dog, Buffy, for a walk on the beach.

Chris is Orchard’s latest apprentice having joined the company soon after graduating from the Business Studies course at the Guernsey College of Further Education. Chris helps our team produce media coverage reports, organise events and he undertakes many other office administration tasks. He has a strong passion for sport, especially football, and plays several times a week – so if you can’t find Chris at the office he’ll likely be on the pitch.

A joint founder of Orchard PR, Lois is a fellow of the ACCA with a wealth of experience across banking, corporate and fiduciary sectors. She oversees the corporate and financial governance of the company along with some operational responsibilities. Lois has a strong entrepreneurial flair and an optimistic outlook on life – a creative living in an accountant’s body.
